Azorín y Juan Ramón Jiménez: semejanzas a partir del influjo krausista y de la lectura de El licenciado Vidriera y Platero y yo

Abstract

En este artículo se toma como base las obras de El licenciado Vidriera (1915), de Azorín, y Platero y yo (1914-1917), de Juan Ramón Jiménez, para identificar las semejanzas más sobresalientes que, en materia de concepción estética, filosófica y aun pedagógica, unían a ambos escritores a la altura de 1914-1917. Teniendo en cuenta la ponderación que ambos realizaron de la figura de Francisco Giner de los Ríos y del movimiento krausista, se rastrea en este influjo el origen de esas similitudes en las vidas de los dos escritores, que quedan resumida en: una común concepción de la creación artística en la que la introspección lírica no está reñida con la voluntad de denuncia ético-social; una similar aspiración a la armonía entendida, a la manera de la filosofía krausista, como plena integración del ser humano en el medio natural que le rodea; y una común aceptación de los postulados educativos ginerianos.
