Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta la edicion de Lo plant de la Verge Maria de Miquel Ortigues, un texto en el que el estilo directo y el dialogo tienen un protagonismo indiscutible. En el genero del planctus Mariae, la voz de Maria acompana el dolor de la pasion de su hijo, desgarrada en muchas ocasiones, resignada a los designios divinos en otras, como se puede ver en este plant. Aunque se han perdido algunas de las ediciones antiguas, tiene una fortuna editorial continuada desde los primeros anos del siglo XVI hasta la actualidad. La edicion que aqui se presenta recoge las variantes de las cinco de las que se conservan ejemplares en la actualidad hasta el siglo XIX; asimismo se revisa el texto de la primera (1511), tomada como base, a la luz de estas variantes. En este analisis se redescubre el sentido y dolorido lamento de la madre que pierde a su hijo.
