El acto colectivo de recordar: historia y fantasía en El espíritu de la colmena y El laberinto del fauno

Abstract

Partiendo del concepto de James Wertsch, 'collective remembering', propongo analizar El espiritu de la colmena (1973) y El laberinto del fauno (2006) como narrativas que mediatizan y reconstruyen el recordar colectivo de la Espana de la posguerra. Mediante el analisis de los elementos basicos de las funciones referencial y dialogica que Wertsch propone como centrales en las narrativas, se exploran de forma comparativa los componentes de la puesta en escena de ambas cintas, centrandose en la yuxtaposicion de lo fantastico y lo historico y la ambigua figura del monstruo, desde la mirada infantil enunciativa de las dos ninas protagonistas. El laberinto del fauno se situa asi como una obra que no solo dialoga con la cinta de Erice retomando temas y motivos similares, sino que presenta otra logica referencial de lo monstruoso, explicita y brutal, mediatizando el recordar colectivo de la posguerra quiza mas acorde con el camino que puede emprender el espectador del nuevo milenio.Using James Wertsch's concept of...
