Construcción de secadores solares tipo túnel con nuevos materiales

Abstract

Los secadores solares parabólico y túnel, diseñados en Cenicafé, se utilizan ampliamente en fincas cafeteras en Colombia para atender las necesidades de caficultores con producción anual de hasta 200 @ de café pergamino seco (c.p.s.), como única tecnología para el secado, y en combinación con secado mecánico en fincas de mayor producción, cuando se tienen días de menor flujo de cosecha. También se utilizan para pre-secar el café en fincas que disponen de secador mecánico, con ahorro importante de energía (eléctrica y térmica), reducción de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y de partículas.
