Matar e morrer no Amapá: letalidade policial, sensos de justiça e regimes de desumanização

Abstract

Neste artigo, apresentamos os dados e as interpretações de pesquisas etnográficas realizadas nos últimos quatro anos por membros do Laboratório de Estudos Etnográficos e Antropologia do Direito (Laet) da Universidade Federal do Amapá (Unifap) acerca do discurso policial, no que se refere a sua própria letalidade, assim como as reações registradas pelos seus apoiadores nos perfis do Devotos do Bope-AP em redes sociais. Sugerimos que os usos recorrentes de determinadas categorias êmicas – troca de tiros, pessoa de bem/trabalhador e bandido/criminoso – para retratar e exaltar a letalidade policial expressam sensos de justiça e de direitos ancorados em uma visão de mundo hierarquizada, onde o direito à vida é compreendido como um privilégio de determinados tipos morais e onde o extermínio de alguns não é apenas tolerado, mas demandado.
