Factores para el ajuste de los módulos de retrocálculo de pavimentos flexibles

Abstract

El Deflectómetro de Impacto (FWD) es ampliamente utilizado en la evaluación no destructiva in situ de los módulos de las capas de pavimentos flexibles. Para estimar el módulo de las capas asfálticas, es necesario ajustar las deflexiones o el módulo retrocalculado a la temperatura de referencia. Así mismo, los módulos retrocalculados de las demás capas que conforman la estructura, se deben ajustar con el fin de hacerlos equiparables con los obtenidos en pruebas de laboratorio. Este artículo tiene como objetivo hacer una revisión acerca de los factores existentes para ajustar los módulos obtenidos por retrocálculo, al utilizar la información del cuenco de deflexiones obtenido con FWD, y hacerlos consistentes para su aplicación en pavimentos. Se concluye que existen bastantes investigaciones tendientes a determinar estos factores de corrección, por lo cual es de suma importancia el criterio ingenieril al momento de seleccionar el factor adecuado a aplicar, haciendo posible estimar con buen grado de confiabilidad las condiciones en servicio de las capas de pavimento.
