Abstract

Zusammenfassung Unter heutigen Rahmenbedingungen muss davon ausgegangen werden, dass der globale Primarenergieverbrauch sich bis 2050 mehr als verdoppeln wird und die energiebedingten CO2-Emissionen sogar um 137% steigen. Die Abhangigkeit der OECD-Staaten von Energieimporten wurde weiter wachsen und der Treibhausgaseffekt, der fur die Erwarmung der Erdatmosphare verantwortlich gemacht wird, wurde weiter zunehmen. Erneuerbare Energien konnen und mussen im Mix mit anderen Technologien zur Losung dieser Probleme eine Rolle spielen. Weitere wichtige Voraussetzungen sind eine gleichzeitige Verbesserung der Energieeffizienz, weitere Fortschritte bei der Reduzierung der Kosten der neuen erneuerbaren Energien und ein breiterer Einsatz in mehr Landern als bisher. Die damit verbundenen Umstrukturierungen und die Integration der neuen erneuerbaren Energien in die bestehende Energieversorgung ist mit Herausforderungen verbunden, die – wenn ein Umbau stattfinden soll – Wirtschaft, Forschung und Politik gemeinsam angeh...
