Abstract

o avanço da expectativa de vida é uma conquista significativa deste século, entretanto é o principal fator para o desenvolvimento de demências. Estudos com biomarcadores buscam critérios diagnósticos e tratamentos. Contudo as intervenções farmacológicas continuam sendo baseadas no uso de anticolinesterásico e Memantina. Este capítulo tem como objetivo apresentar um delineamento sobre programas de intervenções não farmacológicas considerando desde os quadros de Declinio Cognitivo Leve até o estabelecimento do Transtorno Neurocognitivo Maior.
