Abstract

Pasang surut (pasut) terbentuk dari komponen-komponen pasut yang mempunyai beda frekuensi dan amplitudo, salah satunya komponen pasut periode panjang, komponen pasut ini adalah jenis pasut yang mempunyai frekuensi yang rendah antara 0 hingga 0,5 siklus/hari. Komponen pasut periode panjang dipengaruhi faktor astronomi dan meteorologi, contoh komponen pasut periode panjang adalah Fortnightly (Mf), Monthly (Mm), Semi annual (Ssa), dan Annual (Sa). Diangkatnya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh komponen pasut periode panjang dalam prediksi pasut dengan menggunakan metode Least Square (kuadrat terkecil). Dari hasil penelitian menggunakan data ± 5 tahun di dapatkan hasil untuk komponen pasut Sa di Prigi dan komponen pasut Ssa di Padang mempunyai nilai paling besar daripada komponen pasut periode panjang yang lainnya, kemudian dari analisa dibuat prediksi pasut, selanjutnya divalidasi dari data yang diterima dengan prediksi, penulis juga menampilkan perbandingan validasi prediksi menggunakan komponen pasut periode panjang dan yang menggunakan 9 komponen utama pasut.
