The mind is the centre of all energy and can help individuals set, strategise and achieve goals. Metacognitive awareness is understanding and controlling one's thinking and learning processes. It can be applied to stress management, as it allows individuals to become aware of their thoughts and emotions related to stress and to take control of them. This can help reduce stress's negative impact on an individual's mental and physical well-being. Metacognition is a crucial tool in stress management, as it helps individuals to become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and develop more effective coping strategies. It can also help individuals bounce back more quickly from stressors and develop the capacity to cope with future stressors more effectively. It is essential to recognise when stress is overwhelming and take steps to manage it, such as self-care, therapy, or seeking help from a support system. Here, in the given research paper, we shall discuss the concepts of metacognition and stress concerning their interrelation.
