Abstract

La competencia digital del profesorado universitario engloba un conjunto de conocimientos, habilidades, actitudes y prácticas que deben poseer para utilizar de manera efectiva las tecnologías digitales en sus funciones de enseñanza, investigación y gestión académica. El principal objetivo de este estudio fue analizar aspectos teóricos, metodológicos y resultados de investigaciones originales sobre la competencia digital docente en universidades de Latinoamericana. La investigación se fundamentó bajo el método sistemático, paradigma hermenéutico-interpretativo, enfoque cualitativo, con diseño narrativo temático de tipo documental literario y corte longitudinal. Se realizaron búsquedas en bases de datos académicas como Scopus, Web of Science, SciElo y Dialnet, abarcando estudios publicados entre 2019 y 2024, tanto en español como en inglés. Los resultados revelaron una considerable variabilidad en los niveles de competencia digital entre los docentes en América Latina, lo que evidenció una brecha significativa entre la teoría y la práctica en el desarrollo de estas habilidades. Asimismo, se constató la creciente adopción y adaptación de diversos marcos referenciales que buscaban estandarizar y mejorar las competencias digitales de los docentes.
