Estudio comparativo in vitro del efecto antibacteriano de Prunus salicifolia frente Porphyromona Gingivalis ATCC 33277

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar el efecto antibacteriano in vitro del aceite fijo y extracto etanólico de Prunus salicifolia (capulí) en 3 concentraciones diferentes, frente a las cepas de Porphyromona Gingivalis ATCC 33277. Material y Métodos: La prueba de susceptibilidad, se realizó utilizando la técnica de los discos con agar Mueller Hillton, en sus tres concentraciones al 25%, 50%, 75% de extracto etanólico de Prunus salicifolia (capulí) y la clorhexidina al 0,12% como controles positivos. Se preparó y se cultivó a 37 °C en microanaerobiosis. Se tomaron lecturas en cada concentración después de 72 y 120 horas, el halo de inhibición se calculó con regla milimetrada. Resultados: Las mediciones se lograron y observaron utilizando la escala de Duraffourd con la cepa de Porphyromona gingivalis ATCC 33277 en lo que se ve similar a la clorhexidina al 0,12% presenta sensibilidad hasta el límite de concentración del 75% de aceite fijo de Prunus salicifolia. Conclusión: El aceite fijo de Prunus salicifolia tuvo una actividad antibacteriana in vitro sobre cepas de Porphyromona gingivalis ATCC 33277 a una concentración del 75%.
