筆者は, まずジェット・エンヂンの利点, 往復エンヂンとの相蓮, 性能, 種類などについて説明せる後, その燃料について, 欧米の実用機使用燃料の規格, 燃焼特性, 高度による揮発性の差異, 流動性と濾過性, 始動性とカーボン附着性などについて述べ, わが国においてその規格範囲を決定する場合, 多くの基本的, 実用的研究炉必要であることを指摘した。
