This book discusses the topic of sacrifice in religions. Sacrifice is a ritual as old as human history and has been practiced in different forms in various religions. Sacrifice has been used as a means for humans to approach their deity, elevate them, and seek their help. This book examines the process of change and transformation of sacrifice in different cultures. While the forms of sacrifice and the things sacrificed may change over time, the intention generally remains the same. Islam has presented the most perfect form of sacrifice. This book emphasizes that sacrifice is a universal instinct and a requirement of human nature.
