Abstract

O presente artigo tem como ponto central apresentar uma visão teológica de saúde e doença a partir da doutrina propugnada pela Umbanda Esotérica ou Iniciática, uma escola umbandista. Para tanto, será posicionado o conceito de orga­nismos mental, astral e físico e qual a relevância da iniciação para se atingir o estado de saúde. Tal pesquisa está baseada no livro Umbanda: o despertar da essência, publicado originalmen­te em 1995 e ampliado na nova edição de 2021.
