Abstract

Salah satu tujuan penting otonomi daerah adalah adanya kehendak untuk meningkatkan peran serta masyarakat (partisipasi) demi tercapainya kesejahteraan masyarakat daerah. Pemilihan kepala daerah dan wakilnya secara langsung pada dasarnya merupakan wahana untuk memberikan peran serta tersebut dalam kehidupan demokrasi di daerah (demokrasi lokal).
