Jenipapo-Kanindé da Lagoa Encantada, reelaboração étnica e território:

Abstract

Este artigo apresenta o turismo em Terra Indígena (TI) abrangida na rede resistência de povos e comunidades tradicionais do Ceará. Nesta parceria expande-se o turismo comunitário na Zona Costeira do estado, adverso aos projetos de turismo global implantados ao longo do litoral cearense. Destaca-se a situação dos Jenipapo-Kanindé da TI Aldeia Lagoa Encantada, que enfrentam desde 1997 o letárgico processo de demarcação da sua terra junto ao Estado Nacional. Embora a TI ainda não homologada, este povo indígena impediu a construção do Aquiraz Resort no seu território tradicional e, implantou o próprio projeto de turismo comunitário na aldeia. Os Jenipapo-Kanindé para evitar a edificação do empreendimento turístico Luso-brasileiro na TI, afirmou a identidade indígena e, expande as atividades turísticas como meio de vida e manifestação da sua afirmação étnica.
