Estilos parentales, vínculos de amistad y compañerismo en niños

Abstract

El presente trabajo estudia cómo influye la percepción de la relación con los padres (estilo parental, tipo de disciplina) sobre la conducta social de los niños de 9 a 12 años, en particular sobre la calidad de la amistad y el compañerismo con sus pares. Partiendo de este objetivo, se reelaboraron y analizaron las propiedades psicométricas de la versión argentina del Children Report of Parental Behavior (CRPBI) de Schaeffer —que comprende cinco factores: aceptación, control patológico, control estricto, control y autonomía extrema (disciplina laxa)—, para estudiar el estilo parental, y de la Friendship Quality Scale de Bukowsky, para estudiar la calidad de la amistad y el grado de compañerismo. Esta escala se adaptó para niños de 9 a 12 años. Los instrumentos antes mencionados fueron administradas a una muestra de 506 niños de 9 a 12 años, de ambos sexos, que concurrían a escuelas de la ciudad y la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Se presentan los resultados de un análisis de regresión múltiple escalonado, en el que se pueden observar los estilos parentales que influyen sobre los vínculos con los pares, en general y según sexo.
