Más allá del canon: género, creatividad femenina y transmedialidad

Abstract

Este volumen pretende contribuir al reposicionamiento de las mujeres en la historia del arte, como creadoras, en primera instancia, pero también como objetos de las representaciones que de ellas ha generado secularmente nuestra cultura, dando lugar a imágenes, visiones, símbolos, mitos, etc. que nos acompañan hasta la actualidad y determinan los roles de género en los que nos reconocemos. Para ello, se realiza un recorrido histórico transversal, que comienza en la Edad Media y se extiende hasta nuestro presente, a través de veinticuatro estudios críticos, abordados con enfoque de género y centrados en obras y autoras de diferentes lenguas, geografías y movimientos literarios o artísticos. La literatura, la prensa, el cine, el cómic y las instalaciones artísticas son, entre otros, algunos de los géneros que constituyen objeto de atención crítica y se ponen en diálogo en este volumen, destinado a presentar analíticamente algunos hitos significativos de la creatividad de las mujeres y a reflexionar sobre las figuraciones femeninas que ofrecen las obras de arte.
