El diario literario: poética e historia

Abstract

El 18 de abril de 1801, Stendhal anota en su diario: «Me propongo escribir la historia de mi vida día por día». El comienzo de este diario personal ejemplifica la aparición de un tipo de autor moderno: el diarista. El hombre que escribe su diario ya no lo hace solamente por una razón contable, sino que halla en él un instrumento para narrar su vida. Nace un nuevo género: el diario literario. Esta investigación establece un acercamiento teórico e histórico-literario al diario personal para analizar su asentamiento en el sistema literario. Se parte de diarios autobiográficos como los de Pepys, Stendhal, Amiel, Gide, Léautaud, Ribeyro o Trapiello con el objetivo de estudiar el desarrollo de un nuevo personaje en la literatura occidental: el Yo que construye, a partir de sí mismo, el relato de sus días.
