EXPECTATIVAS DE ESTUDANTES SOBRE A ASTRONOMIA NO ENSINO MÉDIO

Abstract

A literatura atual relata que o ensino de astronomia seja motivador e interessante para a educação básica, porém os conteúdos sugeridos pelas orientações curriculares nacionais parecem não atrair alunos e professores de maneira a chamar-lhes a atenção para um estudo transcendente a disciplina de ciências no Ensino Fundamental ou a disciplina de física para o Ensino Médio. Através da aplicação de um questionário para 80 alunos do Ensino Médio e participantes da Olimpíada Brasileira de Astronomia e Astronáutica de duas escolas do estado de SP, obtivemos resultados que nos indicam que os temas de astronomia que motivam os alunos são temas ligados à ficção científica e às pesquisas atuais, alvo de grande divulgação midiática e com forte caráter interdisciplinar. Ao final sugerimos uma nova contextualização para o ensino de astronomia, através da inserção de temas aliados a outras áreas do saber para o que chamamos de “ensino de astrofísica interdisciplinar”.
