Abstract

Introducción: las infecciones del tracto urinario (ITU) incluyendo bacteriuria asintomática constituyen una complicación común durante la gestación, que pueden elevar la morbilidad materna y fetal. Objetivo: determinar la etiología y el perfil de resistencia de bacterias aisladas en los urocultivos de embarazadas con diagnóstico de ITU Metodología: Se hizo una investigación no experimental, descriptiva y transversal. La población estuvo constituida por 124 historias clínicas de pacientes embarazadas en el Hospital de Sangolquí desde enero 2017 hasta abril 2018, con reportes positivos a partir de urocultivos. Resultados: la media de la edad de las participantes fue de 24,75 años. En el 73,39% de las muestras se aisló E. coli. La mayoría de las grávidas tenían una edad entre 20 y 30años. Conclusión: Escherichia Coli resultó el microorganismo más observado en los urocultivos positivos, estableciéndose mayor susceptibilidad de este a ceftriaxona, nitrofurantoína y fosfomicina; siendo más resistente a cefuroxima y ampicilina.
