KAJIAN PUSTAKA: PREVALENSI HELMINTIASIS PADA SAPI POTONG DI BEBERAPA DAERAH DI INDONESIA

Abstract

Kejadian helmintiasis pada sapi potong di Indonesia masih cukup tinggi dan menjadi tantangan di subsektor peternakan. Prevalensi helmintiasis di beberapa wilayah Indonesia bervariasi. Kajian pustaka (literature review) ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan meninjau prevalensi helmintiasis pada sapi potong di beberapa daerah di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan berupa metode deskriptif dalam mengidentifikasi dan menyajikan data hasil penelitian dari 6 jurnal dengan rentang waktu 2019-2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa prevalensi helmintiasis tertinggi pada sapi potong sebesar 93,62% terjadi di Kampung Arsopura, Distrik Skanto, Kabupaten Keerom, Provinsi Papua dan termasuk kategori prevalensi tinggi. Prevalensi terendah berasal dari Desa Sepayung, Kecamatan Plampang, Kabupaten Sumbawa Besar, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat yakni sebesar 21,62% dan termasuk kategori prevalensi sedang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi helmintiasis di Indonesia termasuk dalam kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Faktor yang menyebabkan perbedaan prevalensi helmintiasis ini diantaranya pola pemeliharaan, kondisi lingkungan kandang, geografis, dan pemberian pakan ternak. Hasil analisis jenis telur cacing yang ditemukan dalam kajian pustaka ini mayoritas berasal dari golongan nematoda. Kata kunci: Helmintiasis, prevalensi, sapi potong, telur cacing endoparasit
