A alegoria no Cinema Marginal brasileiro

Abstract

O presente trabalho procura mostrar que o cinema marginal brasileiro, exemplificado na analise de O anjo nasceu (1969), de Julio Bressane, pode ser compreendido a partir do conceito de alegoria, tal como apresentado pelo filosofo Walter Benjamin em sua obra Origem do drama barroco alemao. Para tanto, utilizaremos como referencia teorica as analises feitas pelo critico de cinema Ismail Xavier em Alegorias do subdesenvolvimento. Nessa obra, o critico destaca a presenca de uma abordagem alegorica de certos temas caros a filmes produzidos no periodo de 1967 a 1969 como O bandido da luz vermelha (1968) e Matou a familia e foi ao cinema (1969).
