Importancia de la Inteligencia emocional en la Praxis Docente

Abstract

Resumen Las emociones juegan un rol importante en el desempeño de las personas, en cualquier actividad que desarrollen, y mucho más si estas tienen que ver con el ámbito educativo. Por ello, es importante desarrollar habilidades relacionadas a la inteligencia emocional para que la praxis docente sea mucho más efectiva. La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de correlación entre la inteligencia emocional y la praxis docente en la Facultad de Ciencias y Humanidades de la Escuela de Estudios Generales. La investigación se realizó bajo el enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo correlacional con metodología no experimental de corte de transaccional, porque se recogieron datos en un determinado tiempo. El diseño fue descriptivo correlacional, ya que se buscó asociar las variables para conocer la relación que existe entre ambas. Para la investigación se seleccionaron a 60 docentes de la Escuela de Formación General pertenecientes a la Ciencias y Humanidades. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron la encuesta y la documentación bibliográfica. De acuerdo a los resultados, se observó que hay correlación entre inteligencia emocional y praxis docente lo que llega al nivel Bueno según los rangos (60-80%) con el 57.8%.
