Pelatihan Pembuatan Biobriket Dari Biji Kesambi Sebagai Energi Terbarukan

Abstract

Kondisi energi fosil yang semakin menipis disebabkan oleh eksploitasi yang sangat besar diperlukan langkah konkrit. Salah satu langkah yang dapat ditempuh adalah memulai penggunaan energi alternatif. Salah satu jenis dari energi alternatif adalah biobriket. Biobriket merupakan bahan bakar padat yang diperoleh dari bahan baku nabati. Bahan nabati dapat diperoleh dari biji kesambi. Biji kesambi merupakan salah satu tanaman yang banyak tumbuh dan berkembang di Kabupaten Probolinggo. Namun, pemanfaatan sebagai energi alternatif dan proses pembuatan biobriket masih jarang diketahui oleh kalangan anak muda. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan energi terbarukan dan proses produksi biobriket. Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan biobriket dari biji kesambi sebagai energi terbarukan dilaksanakan di SMPN 2 Dringu Kabupaten Probolinggo. Kegiatan diikuti dengan antusias oleh perserta yang berjumlah lima puluh delapan orang.Hasil kegiatan peserta memahami tentang energi alternatif dan memiliki keingintahuan terhadap pemanfaatan energi alternatif. Selain itu peserta ingin memproduksi biobriket setelah mengikuti acara. Hal ini diketahui saat sesi tanya jawab dengan peserta.
