Las relaciones diplomáticas con los vecinos del sur, México-Guatemala-Belice

Abstract

El propósito dela investigación fue estudiar desde la perspectiva histórico-diplomática, mediante la investigación en el Archivo General de Centroamérica, entrevistas y observación participante, las relaciones entre los Estados Unidos Mexicanos con sus vecinos inmediatos, la República de Guatemala y Belice, en especial, la diferencia que existió entre los gobiernos vecinos para la delimitación de las dos fronteras internacionales; mediante un largo conflicto con Guatemala hasta que se firmó el Tratado de Límites el 27 de septiembre de 1882 y la inexistencia hasta hoy, de un Tratado de Límites entre México y Belice, pues subsiste el firmado con el Reino Unido de la Gran Bretaña e Irlanda el 8 de julioen 1893. Así también, se analiza la similitud en la relación de cooperación científica y técnica hacia ambos países.La premisa fundamental de dicha cooperación se sustenta en la formación, actualización y profesionalización del capital humano de los países de la región de Centroamérica y El Caribe. Estos programas y acciones son desarrollados en Guatemala y en Belice.
