Abstract

Monografia Aliny Madej Kino, władza, publiczność. Kinematografia polska w latach 1944-1949 (2002) obejmuje okres formowania się socrealizmu w Polsce. Niezwykle cenne i niepublikowane materiały źródłowe pozwalają ukazać postawy i wybory uczestników ówczesnego życia kulturalnego. Całość monografii – co podkreśla autorka recenzji – zaprzecza licznym „oczywistościom” i uogólnieniom, jakie narosły przez dziesięciolecia na temat tego okresu.
