Abstract

Tekst rozpoczyna konstatacja o kryzysie refleksji teoretycznej oraz historycznej odnoszącej się do kina, czy też w ogóle o kryzysie nauk humanistycznych (Roger Odin, Francesco Cassetti, Thomas Elsaesser). W tym kontekście jest interpretowane przedsięwzięcie artystyczne – esej wideo-telewizyjny autorstwa Jean-Luca Godarda Historie kina – potraktowane jako propozycja o charakterze teoretycznym oraz historycznym. Tu autorka podkreśla szczególnie praktykę archeologii kina (nakreśloną przez Ishagpoura) oraz historii XX w. jako wyraźny przejaw budowania refleksji metodologicznej, teoretycznej oraz historycznej. Wyjątkową rolę Kita upatruje w umiejętności reżysera do reorganizacji materiału archiwalnego w duchu pracy anamnezy (Alain Bergala). Godard realizuje bowiem projekt historii opowiadanej tak, by wyłonić z niej obszary refleksji teoretycznej. Jego „esej” to emanacja delikatnej siły sztuki (Céline Scemama) uwarunkowanej technikami montażowymi organizującymi materię obrazową tak, by rekonstruować z niej rys teorii sztuki i historii wieku widzianej obiektywem kinematografu.
