IMPLEMENTASI MODEL LATIHAN BERBEBAN NOMOR TOLAK PELURU PADA REMAJA PUTRA WIROGUNAN SUKOHARJO

Abstract

Abstrak Pembinaan prestasi Klub Atletik Remaja Putra Wirogunan Sukoharjo adalah klub atletik yang khusus membina usia remaja. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang berlangsung pada Maret s.d April 2021 ini diikuti oleh 11 atlet 1 pelatih dan 1 asisten pelatih. Kegiatan berupa penyampaian teori dan simulasi praktik latihan berbeban bagi para atlet di Klub Atletik Remaja Putra Wirogunan Sukoharjo. Latihan berbeban ini difungsikan untuk meningkatkan power otot lengan pada atlet klub remaja putra wirogunan Sukoharjo khususnya nomor lempar tolak peluru. Latihan berbeban juga difungsikan untuk menunjang program latihan pada pencapaian pestasi jangka pendek dan jangka menengah. Pada kegiatan implementasi latihan berbeban ini peserta dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok. Pemateri memberikan penjelasan teori tentang latihan berbeban sebagai latihan penunjang nomor tolak peluru. Kemudian pemateri memberikan simulasi praktik latihan berbeban dengan 3 model berbeban yaitu latihan bench press, swing, dan pull over. Selanjutnya masing-masing kelompok melakukan praktik latihan berbeban yang disediakan dengan skema sirkuit. Hasil praktik pda setiap sesi pertemuan dilakukan pendampingan evaluasi untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kesesuaian gerakan dan juga kesesuaian dengan program latihan yang disusun oleh pelatih pada klub. Dari hasil evaluasi diperoleh hasil dan manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diantaranya: (1) Implementasi model latihan berbeban untuk menunjang prestasi atlet khususnya nomor lempar tolak peluru dapat dipahami atlet, asisten pelatih dan pelatih. (2) Pelatih dan asisten pelatih dapat memadukan latihan berbeban dengan model sirkuit untuk menunjang pengembangan program latihan jangka menengah untuk menghasilkan kemampuan kondisi fisik dan teknik penunjang nomor lempar tolak peluru pada klub atletik Remaja Putra Wirogunan.
