Abstract

La anemia por deficiencia de hierro es el padecimiento nutricional más frecuente en el mundo y se constituye en un reconocido problema de salud durante el embarazo, el objetivo de este estudio es establecer la prevalencia, determinado el grado e Identificando en que grupo etario se presenta con mayor frecuencia la anemia ferropenica en mujeres embarazadas. Es un estudio retrospectivo, transversal y descriptivo. El universo: Todas las mujeres gestantes que acudieron a control. De 970 mujeres embarazadas, 501 tienen Anemia, 52%. 98 en grado moderado, 80% y 6 de grado Grave, 1,2%. El grupo etario con mayor prevalencia de Anemia es de 15 a 35 años, con 454, 91%. Le sigue el de mayor a 35 años con 47, 9%. El grupo menor a 15 años no presentó ningún caso. De los resultados se identifica que la prevalencia de anemia en mujeres embrazadas que acudieron a sus controles prenatales es 52% y es uno de los más altos en relación a otros trabajos.
