Abstract

El presente trabajo explica la distinción entre democracia participativa y democracia representativa y sugiere por qué dichos conceptos no se contraponen, sino que se complementan. Ello porque la democracia participativa pretende que los ciudadanos sean más activos en los asuntos públicos de su comunidad y con ello contribuyan a la consolidación de la democracia.
