Impactos decorrentes da impermeabilização do solo urbano e do fechamento de um canal de drenagem em Aracaju, Sergipe

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar os impactos que a impermeabilização do solo e o fechamento de canais geram sobre o escoamento das águas pluviais em áreas urbanas. A área de estudo é a bacia de contribuição de um canal situado em Aracaju-SE. Para realizar a modelagem hidrodinâmica do canal, foi utilizado o software Storm Water Management Model (SWMM). Foi observado que o fechamento do canal poderá aumentar a velocidade máxima de escoamento da água (até 51%) e a relação entre a vazão de pico e a vazão de seção cheia (até 49%). Esses aumentos se tornam ainda mais expressivos para a situação de máximo grau de impermeabilização permitido por lei municipal. Logo, o fechamento de canais, solução muito utilizada atualmente em grandes e médias cidades brasileiras, deve ser analisado de forma criteriosa, levando em conta, principalmente, as possíveis mudanças de uso e ocupação do solo na bacia de contribuição do canal.
