
A ausência de manutenção periódica, sobretudo nos sistemas de microdrenagem, tem sido um dos fatores causadores dos alagamentos nos centros urbanos do Brasil. Diante desse fato, medidas que visem à reabilitação desses sistemas são necessárias e garantem a eficiência hidráulica de toda a rede. Neste sentido, o presente trabalho avalia os efeitos da manutenção preventiva no desempenho hidráulico de uma rede de microdrenagem num eixo viário do Recife/PE que apresenta pontos de alagamento. Tal análise foi subsidiada pelas simulações hidrológico-hidráulicas de dois eventos de chuva (TR: 2 anos e TR: 10 anos), utilizando o modelo SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) e comparando os cenários de pré e pós-manutenção. Os resultados mostraram que para o evento de 2 anos, a redução do volume de alagamento foi de 80,65%, enquanto o evento de 10 anos apresentou redução de 61,93%. Em linhas gerais, constatou-se que, para a rede em questão, medidas simples de manutenção já seriam suficientes para evitar os alagamentos críticos. Palavras-chave: Alagamentos Urbanos.
