The author begins by examining the question of the model of revelation of the two Vatican councils: was conceptualism or personalism the prevailing paradigm? He then proceeds to an analysis of divine revelation'as an historical event which involves its objectivisation in language and it explains the form in which Tradition, Scripture and Magisterium are related in both councils. Finally, he considers the problem of the relationship between the personal character of revelation and the question of revelation, understood as the «deposit of truths», in order to establish in what measure Vatican II explicitates and/or pushes forward the doctrine of revelation of Vatican I.
