Muerte y metafísica en Xavier zubiri

Authors: Herrero Hernández, Francisco Javier;

Muerte y metafísica en Xavier zubiri

Abstract

[EN] his article starts emphasizing how philosophy and religion, attempting to reduce death to the uniform and universal night of nothingness through knowledge of the Absolute, have tried to overcome the contingency and finitude of individual human life (Franz osenzweig). In Hegel, this abiding conception of philosophy as fuga mortis attains maturity. onetheless, contemporary human beings would rather to live their fear than to fade into nothingness. The main thesis of this essay is the close, and apparently paradoxical, correlation between death and metaphysics. This essay aims at analyzing this link and at showing its consequences for the substantive human reality according to Zubiri?s Thought.
