Autopercepción de la motivación en las clases de educación física según el sexo, la edad y el tipo de práctica físico-deportiva

Abstract

La motivación puede ejercer una gran influencia en la adherenciaa la práctica de actividad física. Este estudio pretende conocer la motivación de los escolares en las clases de Educación Física y las posibles diferencias según el sexo, la edad y el tipo de deporte practicado. Participaron un total de 182 escolares de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria de entre 12 y 16 años, de los cuales 95 eran chicos y 87 chicas. Como instrumento se empleó el “Cuestionario sobre Motivación en las clases de Educación Física (CMEF)”. Los resultados muestran que la motivación es superior en los chicos a pesar de que las chicas presentan una motivación identificada superior. Según la edad, los escolares más jóvenes se sienten más motivados en todas las dimensiones y la desmotivación aumenta con la edad. La práctica de deportes individuales se asocia con una mayor motivación, aunque los deportes colectivos suponen mayor motivación externa
