Abstract

Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue yang tergolong Arthropod-Borne Virus, genus Flavivirus, dan family Flaviviridae. DBD ditularkan melalui gigitan nyamuk dari genus Aedes, terutama Aedes aegypti. Upaya dalam pengendalian dan pengontrolan vektor adalah larvasida dikembangkan dengan memanfaatkan bunga melati (Jasminum sambac Ait). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui uji efektivitas bunga melati (Jasminum sambac Ait) sebagai larvasida pada larva Aedes aegypti. Jenis penelitian ini eksperimen laboratorium dengan menggunakan post test only with control group design. Sampel penelitian ini larva Aedes aegypti instar III/IV. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 konsentrasi dan 1 kontrol dengan 25 ekor larva pada setiap perlakuan. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 24 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh terhadap kematian larva Aedes aegypti dengan konsentrasi 6%, 8%, 10%, 12% dan 14%. Ekstrak bunga melati mampu membunuh larva Aedes aegypti dengan LC50 sebesar 7,723%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ekstrak bunga melati memiliki efektifitas sebagai larvasida pada larva nyamuk Aedes aegypti sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif pengganti larvasida kimia.
