PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN KOMIK SEJARAH BERWAKTU (KOMIK RATU) SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF PEMBELAJARAN

Abstract

Dunia pendidikan di Indonesia mengalami permasalahan dari berbagai aspek, salah satunya adalah minimnya inovasi dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Seperti yang terjadi dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Padahal sejarah merupakan materi wajib pada setiap jenjang pendidikan, termasuk pada siswa sekolah dasar. Materi sejarah yang disampaikan oleh pengajar masih menggunakan buku dengan tulisan berderet, sehingga menyebabkan kejenuhan pada siswa (peserta didik). Sehingga dilakukan penelitian ini sebagai solusi pembelajaran sejarah menggunakan media Komik Sejarah Berwaktu (Komik Ratu). Penelitian berbentuk kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode berbasis penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Berlokasi di SDN Sidomulyo 2, Ampel, Boyolali dengan objeknya siswa kelas 5 berjumlah 28 siswa. Hasilnya berupa pengembangan media Komik Ratu yang telah dilakukan validasi oleh tim ahli dan diimplementasikan pada objek penelitian. Komik Ratu menonjolkan waktu sebagai aspek dominan dalam “sifat-sifat sejarah” yang ditampilkan secara kontekstual menggunakan simbol-simbol tertentu. Komik Ratu layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran karena mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi sejarah.
