Pengaruh Strain Terhadap Feed Conversion Ratio dan Keuntungan Usaha Ayam Broiler

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkaji strain yang berbeda terhadap Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) dan keuntungan usaha ayam broiler. Penelitian dilaksanakan di peternakan PT. Berkat Unggas Sehat Sejahtera, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei historis yaitu meneliti catatan produksi sesuai variabel yang diteliti. Variabel yang diamati adalah FCR dan keuntungan usaha. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriftif dan uji t. Strain ayam broiler yaitu Cobb dan Ross dipelihara pada kandang close house. Populasi pada masing-masing strain 12.000 ekor dan dipelihara selama 28 hari. Hasil penelitian yaitu rata-rata FCR strain Cobb 1,04 ± 0,29 sedangkan strain Ross 0,93 ± 0,26. Keuntungan yang dihasilkan dari strain Cobb Rp2.859.105,00 sedangkan strain Ross lebih besar yaitu Rp12.136.043,00. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa strain berpengaruh terhadap FCR dan keuntungan ayam broiler. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah strain Ross memberikan nilai FCR dan keuntungan yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan strain Cobb.
