Interceptação da Precipitação no Manguezal no Litoral Sudeste do Brasil

Abstract

Os manguezais estão entre os ecossistemas biologicamente mais produtivos e importantes do mundo, fornecendo bens e serviços exclusivos para as sociedades e os sistemas costeiros. Essas áreas, no entanto, são cada vez mais fragmentadas, contribuindo para a perda de seus serviços e benefícios. As chuvas exercem uma influência importante neste ecossistema, sendo fundamental para a dissolução dos sais marinhos. Este trabalho investigou o total precipitado no manguezal localizado no Sistema Costeiro de Cananeia-Iguape (SP), em diferentes escalas temporais (diária, mensal, sazonal e anual), bem como sua interceptação pelo dossel do manguezal. Constatou-se uma interceptação de 8,8 %, oscilando entre 13% e 4% na escala anual, evidenciando que a variação anual da precipitação, que reflete tanto em sua quantidade quanto em sua intensidade contribui para a porcentagem dessa interceptação pelo dossel. Verificou-se ainda que, conforme a intensidade da precipitação aumenta, a interceptação pelo dossel do manguezal reduz.
