Pengaruh Asam Humat Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Jahe Merah (Zingiber officinale)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian berbagai dosis asam humat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jahe merah (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Jl. Keling Kumang, Kabupaten Sekadau, Kalimantan Barat, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non-faktorial dengan empat perlakuan dosis asam humat, yaitu 3 ml (A1), 5 ml (A2), 7 ml (A3), dan 9 ml (A4), masing-masing diulang lima kali. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, berat segar tanaman, berat segar akar, dan berat segar rimpang. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian asam humat berpengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter pertumbuhan. Dosis 9 ml memberikan hasil tertinggi pada seluruh variabel pengamatan, yaitu tinggi tanaman 74,04 cm, jumlah anakan 42,9, berat segar tanaman 957,2 g, berat segar akar 33,6 g, dan berat segar rimpang 417,4 g. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dibandingkan perlakuan 3 ml, 5 ml, dan 7 ml. Asam humat berperan dalam memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia, dan biologi tanah serta meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur hara, khususnya nitrogen, yang mendukung proses fisiologis tanaman. Dengan demikian, pemberian asam humat dosis 9 ml direkomendasikan sebagai dosis optimal untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produktivitas jahe merah.
