Uji Parameter Spesifik Ekstrak Etanol Umbi Sarang Semut Asal Kalimantan Tengah

Abstract

Standarisasi adalah serangkaian parameter, prosedur dan cara pengukuran yang hasilnya merupakan unsur-unsur terkait paradigma mutu kefarmasian. Tahap standardisasi dimulai dari penyiapan ekstrak sampel dengan penetapan parameter spesifik. Berdasarkan uji penapisan kimia tumbuhan Sarang Semut yang berasal dari Papua dan Aceh mengandung senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid sebagai zat antioksidan dan yang berasal dari Kalimantan Selatan berkhasiat sebagai antibakteri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menentukan gambaran farmakognostik berdasarkan parameter spesifik dari ekstrak etanol umbi Sarang Semut asal Kalimantan Tengah, penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan prosedur paramater spesifik meliputi identitas ekstrak, pemeriksaan organoleptis, penetapan kadar senyawa larut air dan etanol serta uji identifikasi senyawa kimia metabolit sekunder. Ekstraksi umbi Sarang Semut pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekstraksi sokhletasi. Berdasarkan hasil uji parameter spesifik diketahui bahwa ekstrak etanol umbi Sarang Semut mengandung senyawa kimia yaitu alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, steroid, triterpenoid dan kuinon. Hasil uji kadar senyawa larut dalam air sebesar 16,03% dan kadar senyawa larut dala etanon sebesar 41,57%. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol umbi Sarang Semut memiliki metabolid sekunder yang memiliki efek farmakologi salah satunya sebagai antibakteri sehingga dapat dikembangkan menjadi bahan baku obat tradisional.
