Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan sensitivitas dari transduser gaya jenis Extended Octagonal Ring (EOR). Analisis dibagi menjadi dua yaitu menggunakan metode elemen hingga dan pengujian eksperimental. Sensitivitas EOR ditentukan melalui pengujian eksperimental dengan pembebanan vertikal 100 N hingga 500 N. Analisis metode elemen hingga menggunakan software ANSYS dengan pembebanan 3 kN hingga 15 kN disesuaikan dengan beban kritis buckling. Hasil pengujian menunjukan linearitas dan sensitivitas silang pada EOR. Pengujian eksperimental diperoleh sensitivitas EOR diperoleh sebesar Kv = 0.1999 μs.N-1 untuk gaya vertikal dan Kh = 0.0056 μs.N-1 untuk gaya horizontal dengan sensitivitas silang sebesar 2.8 %. Analisis metode elemen hingga diperoleh sensitivitas EOR diperoleh sebesar Kv = 0.1858 μs.N-1 untuk gaya vertikal, Kh = 0.0018 μs.N-1 untuk gaya horizontal dan Km = 0.007 μs.N-1 untuk momen dengan sensitivitas silang sebesar 0.9 % dan 3.76 %. Selanjutnya, EOR dapat digunakan sebagai transduser untuk analisis buckling.
