Cultura inclusiva: Lo que piensan los futuros docentes

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza las percepciones de los estudiantes del programa de Licenciatura en Lenguas Extranjeras con énfasis en inglés frente a la educación inclusiva en su proceso de formación docente universitaria. El estudio parte del reconocimiento de la inclusión educativa como un principio fundamental de la educación contemporánea y como un eje transversal de las políticas públicas en Colombia. Con un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño descriptivo, se aplicó un cuestionario de percepción a 133 estudiantes de la Unidad Central del Valle del Cauca (UCEVA), con el fin de comprender cómo conciben la cultura de inclusión universitaria y cuáles son los avances, limitaciones y retos que identifican en este ámbito. Los resultados evidencian una valoración positiva hacia la pertinencia de la inclusión y el reconocimiento institucional de la diversidad; sin embargo, también revelan vacíos en la aplicación práctica de las políticas inclusivas, así como insuficiencias en la formación docente sobre estrategias pedagógicas orientadas a la atención de la diversidad. Se concluye que la consolidación de una cultura inclusiva en la educación superior requiere una transformación sostenida de las prácticas docentes, el fortalecimiento de los procesos institucionales y la sensibilización colectiva de toda la comunidad universitaria.
