Influência do alargamento cervical na adaptação do cone de guta-percha

Abstract

Objetivo: verificar o alcance dos cones de guta-percha FM e M após a utilização dos instrumentos PreRace e das brocas Gates Glidden. Material e método: foram utilizados 20 blocos de resina acrílica com canais curvos simulados que foram divididos em dois (02) grupos. No grupo I, o preparo cervical foi realizado com as brocas Gates Glidden (TDKaFiles, China). No grupo II, utilizou-se o instrumento rotatório PreRace (FKG Dentaire, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Suíça). Antes e após o preparo os cones de guta-percha FM e M (Odous de Deus, Cachoeirinha, Brasil) foram inseridos, separadamente, no canal para verificar o seu alcance em milímetros e tiveram suas medidas registradas. A análise dos dados foi realizada através do teste ANOVA seguido do teste de comparações múltiplas de Tukey. Resultados: Não ocorreu diferença estatística (p > 0,05) no comprimento de alcance dos cones após a realização do preparo cervical, independentemente do tipo de instrumento utilizado. Conclusão: o preparo cervical favorece a inserção tanto dos cones FM (0.4) quanto dos cones M (0.6).
