El amigo

Abstract

Algunas personas le llamaban “el amigo” porque tenía un corazón generoso y desinteresado. Fue el mejor padre y esposo del mundo y siempre estaba dispuesto a ayudar a los demás sin esperar nada a cambio. Otras personas no tan allegadas a él le decían don Berna o don Berne y él prefería simplemente, Berne, incluso a la hora de firmar algún documento aunque su nombre real era Verne de Jesús Iglesias Hernández. Oriundo de Río Sucio, Caldas llegó a la sucursal del cielo cuando tenía apenas siete años y a pesar de ello nunca aprendió a bailar salsa, era más tieso que un palo pero cantaba a viva voz cuando escuchaba en la radio sus canciones favoritas: el Cambalache o la Cama Vacía.
