Abstract

Los tecnólogos en atención prehospitalaria, área de la salud encargada de estabilizar al paciente antes de llegar al centro asistencial, están expuestos a diferentes riesgos, siendo los más frecuentes los riesgos biomecánicos, que podrían derivar en un evento adverso como la enfermedad ocupacional, debido a ciertos factores de riesgo que requieren un esfuerzo físico mayor por parte del personal, superando la capacidad muscular del mismo. En el siglo XX se presentaron innumerables conflictos y guerras, dando paso dentro del contexto histórico a lo que hoy se conoce como Atención Prehospitalaria.
