Protocolo para la elaboración de carillas y coronas en disilicato de litio

Abstract

Introducción: La evolución de los materiales dentales, ha constituido un gran aporte a la odontología y a la técnica dental en el mundo. Los sistemas libres de metal para la fabricación de elementos protésicos, entre ellos el disilicato de litio, ideal para la elaboración de coronas totales y facetas estéticas en el sector anterior, o bien en las zonas que requieran reemplazo con material restaurativo, proporcionan excelentes características físicas, biológicas y estéticas, en este tipo de restauraciones. Objetivos: Instruir al alumno en el protocolo de elaboración de carillas estéticas en el sector anterior, y coronas totales, con el auxilio de una guía rápida de procesos con soporte ilustrado de cada paso. Métodos: Realización del protocolo de elaboración de carillas estéticas y coronas totales, ventajas y desventajas de las técnicas, seguimiento fotográfico explicativo a partir de la toma de impresión preliminar, hasta el proceso de maquillaje y glaseado final de las restauraciones. Resultados esperados: Presentar una guía clara para el protocolo de elaboración de carillas estéticas y coronas totales, explicando cada proceso detalladamente con soporte ilustrativo en cada uno de los procesos.
