CULTURA MARGINAL Y PERIFÉRICA EN EL NEOLIBERALISMO CHILENO

Abstract

El neoliberalismo chileno, desde su entronización inconsulta y forzada por la dictadura, vigente por casi 50 años, fue considerado como el niño mimado y ejemplo exitoso de un modelo económico y político. En su actual período de decadencia, comienzan a destacarse las marcas de una potente cultura alternativa, marginal y periférica, que viene a cubrir el vacío espiritual dejado por el discurso oficial de los gobiernos posdictatoriales. Las tradiciones populares ayudan a comprender las causas de la insurrección social del 18 de octubre de 2019, los valores en disputa, la involución de la industria cultural (apagón), la incidencia de las estrategias del arte callejero y el impensado otorgamiento del premio nacional de literatura al escritor mapuche Elicura Chihuailaf. Se abre un camino para la re-constitución de la chilenidad, refrendado por los resultados del ple-biscito del 25 de octubre de 2020: el 80% del electorado aprueba un cambio constitucional y declara clausurada la imposición autárquica del mercantilismo.
